Benefits of Natural Salt
Why unprocessed rock salt is preferred by food brands, retailers and wellness companies.

Natural rock salt is unprocessed, free from anti caking agents and keeps its natural trace minerals.
Its colour and crystal structure make it attractive for premium retail packaging.
Brands value its clean label story: mined, sorted, crushed and packed with nothing added.
As with any salt, it should be used in moderation as part of a balanced diet.
Understand the source
Himalayan pink salt is rock salt from ancient underground deposits in the Salt Range of Punjab, Pakistan, mainly at Khewra. It is not mined on Himalayan peaks. Sea salt comes from evaporated seawater. These different origins explain the distinction between rock salt and sea salt, but origin alone does not establish nutritional superiority or suitability for every use.
Choose for the intended use
For food purchasing, confirm that the particular product is offered for edible use and request its specification. Grain size affects how a product is handled, measured and incorporated into a recipe. Fine and coarse options should be selected for the intended preparation, not just their appearance. Products intended for bath, industrial or decorative use should be assessed separately from edible salt.
Check claims before putting them on a label
A natural appearance is not a substitute for a verified ingredient declaration or quality record. Ask the supplier to confirm additives, processing and the specific grade before describing a product as additive free, unprocessed or suitable for a special diet. Trace minerals and colour are not evidence that a salt treats illness. Avoid medical or detox claims in retail descriptions.
Plan a retail or wholesale enquiry
Specify the grade, grain size, quantity, packaging and destination. Saltyan Naturals offers customised packaging, buyer logos and labeling. Share your proposed artwork and any destination labeling requirements so the quotation can address them. For dietary use, salt should still be used in moderation; this guide is purchasing information, not medical advice.
