Salt Manufacturing Process
From mine to container: how our salt is sorted, crushed, tested, packed and loaded.

-
Mining: raw rock salt is hand selected from the Salt Range.
-
Sorting: rocks are graded by colour into dark pink, light pink and white.
-
Crushing and screening: salt is crushed and sieved to exact mesh sizes.
-
Lab testing: each batch receives a Certificate of Analysis.
-
Packaging: 25 kg bags, 50 kg bags, jumbo bags or private label retail packs.
-
Loading: containers are loaded, sealed and documented for export.
Follow the specification through each stage
A buyer specification connects the processing stages: source material, sorting, crushing or shaping where applicable, grading, testing, packing and loading. Different salt products need different preparation. A grain-size requirement for bulk salt is not the same as a shape or finish requirement for a lamp or candle holder. Confirm which steps apply to the product being ordered.
Agree on size, colour and packing
State the required colour, grain size or product dimensions before asking for a quotation. Ask the team to confirm the available specification rather than interpreting a photograph as an exact size reference. Include packing quantities, labeling and buyer artwork in the same enquiry. This helps prevent a correctly processed product from being packed in a format your business cannot use.
Review quality documents for the actual order
Ask which analysis and shipment documents will accompany your chosen product. Review the relevant specification and batch results with your technical team. A certificate name displayed on a website is not a substitute for checking the scope, validity and applicability of a document required by your buyer or destination authority. Confirm these requirements before approval.
Discuss a factory visit and order schedule
Saltyan Naturals offers online factory visits for buyers. Ask the team to arrange a visit covering the product or preparation you want to discuss. Bulk ordering starts with product, quantity, packing and destination port. Production follows proforma invoice approval and a 30% deposit, then packing, loading and export documents. Confirm the delivery schedule for your particular order.
Explore the product catalogue or send your requirements to the export team for an order-specific response.
